Spring Fest continues to be better together
Spring Fest was another success, thanks to the contributions and efforts of many businesses, organizations and individuals. The Spring Fest Planning Committee wants to thank all those who played roles in the success of this event, including our sponsors, door prize donors, volunteers, exhibitors, entertainers, food vendors and visitors. Special thanks goes to our major sponsors—Community Memorial Hospital and Power Test, Inc.—who provided the funds to support Spring Fest.
Some 115 people enjoyed the kick-off breakfast and were treated to an inspiring speech by Mary Ellen Stanek, managing director of Robert W. Baird & Co., who spoke about valuing community diversity, supporting positive change and to be involved in promoting a strong and healthy community. Throughout the day a total of about 1,000 people visited the exhibit booths, saw entertainment, patronized local food vendors and participated in the children's activities.
The Sussex Area Chamber of Commerce, Hamilton School District and other local organizations joined forces to provide a day of fun and opportunities to learn about the assets of our communities.
